TRADITIONAL DOWNTOWN WEDDING WITH TWO RECEPTIONS | SPRINGFIELD, MO | CRISSY + TAYLOR

Blog-104.jpg

I feel like I’m practically a part of Crissy and Taylor’s family at this point. Not just because I love them so much, but because I’ve photographed so many life moments for their entire family over the years. Crissy’s mom contacted me to do family photos last fall and told me beforehand that Crissy and Taylor would be getting engaged soon. After extended family photos, Taylor contacted me about hiding on the Branson landing to capture Crissy’s reaction to his proposal. I’m pretty sure my heart raced for over an hour as I hid under a table at Cantina Laredo waiting for their arrival. Not to mention all the weird stares haha! After the proposal, we did engagement photos at a dreamy Colorado-like spot in South Branson and spent lot’s of time chatting through wedding plans and how the Lord was working in Crissy and Taylor’s lives. Because of their involvement in worship at church, they wanted the entire congregation to surround them as they made their vows, followed by a short reception for the church members and family and friends. And then we moved downtown for an intimate family reception! This was such a unique day in the fact that we were at 4 different locations throughout the day. I hope you can see the joy and love that Crissy and Taylor share with their friends and family throughout this blog!

“Taylor and I met at church. I am the worship leader and he's the best guitar player in the world. I heard he played guitar so I asked him to be in our worship band. I didn't know him very well and I had no clue he was so talented. So for the first few months of him being on on our team I gave him the simplest stuff to play. Eventually as I got to know him I realized that He could play so many instruments and he could especially shred an electric guitar. He instantly became a valuable member of our team. I'd like to say we knew we were meant to be together from the start, but God took us on a journey of friendship for about 3 years before we began dating. We always connected and so easily talked to each other. That was one of my favorite things about our friendship. Our hearts connected because we had similar experiences and families. One day, after lots of prayer and tons of conversations we just knew in our hearts that God gave us one another as a gift and life long soul mate! Our family and friends were elated and started praying about us being together before we even did!! So we began our journey together and have never looked back. We are getting married Sept. 28th, exactly one year from our very first date. I love our love story. It's a beautiful story of love, grace, redemption, and new beginnings. Taylor and I never stop laughing, and love to live life to its fullest. We thank God for bringing our stories together and answering our prayers.”

“Enjoy the season of planning your wedding. Take time to appreciate all the vendors you meet, your parents and family helping you plan, and especially take the time to do the unique things that make your wedding day YOU.”
